Bat or Bowl support
Bat or Bowl is an iPhone cricket match-day companion. Run a fair toss, score an innings, keep an over-by-over backup and check optional conditions at the ground.
No haptic or sound
Check your iPhone sound and haptic settings. The toss still works normally.

Weather will not load
Check that Location Services and mobile data or Wi-Fi are available, then pull down on Match Weather to try again. All scoring features still work offline.

Your match data stays on your iPhone

No account, advertising, analytics or tracking.Scoring data stays on your iPhone. Location is used only if you choose Match Weather.
Data collection
The developer does not receive or store your identity, contact details, scoring data or app usage. The app does not create an account, advertising profile or analytics record.
On-device operation
Toss results, teams, scores, settings and match history are produced and stored locally on your iPhone. You can remove scoring records in the app, or remove all local information by deleting the app.
Optional Match Weather
If you open Match Weather and allow location access, your current coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo to return the requested forecast. Bat or Bowl does not save this location or weather history. The app does not use Apple Weather or WeatherKit.
Open-Meteo retention
Open-Meteo states that its free service may keep server logs containing IP addresses and geographic coordinates for troubleshooting, and deletes those logs after 90 days. It states that it does not link this information to user identities or share it with third parties.
Your choices
Match Weather is optional. You can deny or withdraw location access at any time in iPhone Settings under Privacy & Security, Location Services, Bat or Bowl. The toss and all scoring features remain available without location access.

Read Open-Meteo's terms and privacy information. Questions about its retained server logs can be sent to info@open-meteo.com.
